Performance from funk legend

UK Funk legend Root Jackson will be performing at Hastings Museum tonight (Friday, October 4, 7.30pm) as part of AfriKaBa festival, a celebration of African and Caribbean heritage and culture.

Root Jackson is best known as the effervescent vocalist and percussionist of Unfinished Business, a six-piece outfit who have pioneered their own eclectic fusion of jazz, blues, reggae and new funk. Omar, Mica Paris, Jamiroquai, Soul II Soul have all cited him as an inspiration.

He will be performing with original members of FBI and The Breakfast Band.
