It is based on the true story of the Mary Stanford lifeboat and her crew, who, in 1928 tragically all perished during one of the worst storms Rye Harbour had ever seen.

Although a sad an emotional story it is portrayed over two days in the lives of the men and their families and shows the camaraderie and humour of the people of Rye Harbour village and is a tribute to them.
