Join the Hastings & Rother Complaints Choir at DLWP

Got a grumble about the weather, ill-fitting shoes, noisy seagulls or anything else?

The Hastings and Rother Arts Champions – a group of young people who champion the arts locally – invite you to join The Complaints Choir and put the things you moan about to music.

And anyone with a complaint to make can join, no singing skills required.

Deposit your complaint with the DLWP and sign up to work with local musician Otti Albietz of ‘Otti And The Voices’ to transform a selection of the complaints into a unique glorious harmony. All ages welcome - children and adults.

You can join in person by coming to visit the Complaints Choir Agency at the Pavilion Rooftop Foyer now until June 7 to find out more, submit your complaint and register to join the Complaints Choir. Alternatively, email your complaint and contact details to [email protected]. Open now, deadline: 8 June

Choir members must be available to commit to three meetings/rehearsals at the DLWP - Sat June 13, 11-1pm - choir meeting / rehearsal, Sat June 20, 11-1pm choir meeting / rehearsal, Sun June 21, 11-1pm - choir meeting / rehearsal, Sun June 21 - 3pm performance at the Bandstand.

The Hastings and Rother Complaints Choir forms part of Brilliant Horizons - a weekend of events produced by the Hastings and Rother Arts Champions – young people who are championing the arts locally. Brilliant Horizons takes place Sat June 20 - Sun June 21.

The Complaints Choir is an open-source project started by artists Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen, www.complaintschoir.org.
