Set in Latham’s Brasserie in Hastings Old Town, the comedy-drama shows the last ten minutes of a meal between ex-fiances Logan and Belinda. Logan dumped Belinda, but he realises he made a big mistake, and now he needs to convince her he’s a changed man.

Glyn set up his company Stories into Light in November last year, and made A Changed Man in February. “We submitted two short comedies to the festival,” said Glyn. “I was amazed that one of them was chosen, let alone both. We were the only production company to have two films selected – and they were the first two films we made. Then for one to be nominated for Best Short was the icing on the cake.”

The festival is now in its 10th year.

“It was a great opportunity to mingle,” Glyn added. “The film industry works on personal networks, which means you really do need to get into festivals to meet established producers and distributors.”

Glyn’s production company Stories into Light is developing more short films while a full-length feature is planned for next year. Stories into Light also makes videos for small businesses and he believes both demand “creativity and professionalism.” A Changed Man, and the other short film selected for Marbella, Centurion, can be viewed on www.storiesintolight.co.uk
