Bexhill Festival of Music 2015 starts this week and offers an exciting programme of over 40 events throughout town.

To close this year’s festival on Sunday July 5 there will be ‘The Last Night of the Bexhill Proms’ at the De La Warr Pavilion, and you are invited to come and wave your flags and sing all the Prom favourites.

This event is a fundraiser for the festival which will feature The Sussex Concert Orchestra conducted by Kenneth Roberts, the Bexhill Festival Choir led by Adam Hepkin, and professional soloists Clive Bebee, Adam Hepkin and Sophie Pullen.

Clive made his debut in The Mastersingers of Nuremberg at the London Colisseum went on to appear in further ENO productions. He then toured with Evita for three years, returning to the West End playing The Pearly King and understudying various roles in Me & My Girl.

Bexhillian Sophie began singing aged 17 with Glyndebourne Youth Opera and has sung in the student chorus at The Royal Opera House conducted by Sir Mark Elder. Recent performances include Atalanta – Xerxes for Hampstead Garden Opera, and Erste Dame – Die Zauberflöte for Broadstone Music Series.  Adam was the youngest ever recipient of the International Award ‘Best Male Gilbert and Sullivan Performer’ and now works extensively as producer/director.
