The Rosetta mission, which successfully landed a probe on comet 67P late last year, has sparked numerous inspired artworks and musical ventures.

Late last year Edd launched a successful Kickstarter fundraising campaign to fund the new album and now says: “I just cannot wait for everyone to hear it”.

26 year old Edd, son of local fiddle player Garry Blakeley, has been active in the Hastings and Sussex live music scene, but also writes and produces his own music.

He has enlisted the help of his father, among other Sussex-based musicians, for the recording of ‘The Rosetta Suite’, which was released recently.

He said: “If you’re a fan of works like The Planets suite by Holst, you’re likely to enjoy the style I’ve gone for with the Rosetta Suite.”

Local inn the Jenny Lind has been chosen to host the launch party for the suite, which is open to the public, where copies of the new album will be available. The party is scheduled for Sunday November 15, 1:30pm-5pm.
