Black Huts returns for second year

Black Huts Festival is presented by Etruscan Books, andvenues include The Beacon, below St Mary’s Terrace, on the West Hill, the Jerwood Projection Space, at The Stade, and Electric Palace Cinema, in High Street.

The opening event on November 1 at The Beacon, will feature music from Trevor Watts and Veryan Weston, a reading by John James and short films by Nichola Bruce.

Other highlights include Randometer on Sunday, November 3, at the Jerwood Projection Space at 3pm, two film makers , Louise Colbourne and Richard Heslop interact with two poets, Wendy Mulford and John Seed, who choose at random from their works, responding to the short film they have just seen.

The Black Huts Festival closes with a rare screening at Electric Palace Cinema of wartime propaganda film, Next of Kin
