Hide AdThe recital began with four works by J.S. Bach, including the great Toccata and Fugue in D minor, one of the finest works ever written for the organ. Buxtehude's Prelude and Fugue in D followed - a work which had given inspiration to Bach.
The recital concluded with three favourite voluntaries by Lefebure-Wely, DuBois and Vidor.
The next meeting is at Clive Vale United Reformed Church, Hastings, on February 12 at 6.45pm. A buffet supper will be followed by hymn singing with guitar music and society members will be invited to extemporise in organ accompaniment.
