Hastings’ hottest new covers band The Cavaliers are firing up for another incendiary performance this Friday night (August 29) from 9pm at the Bo Peep in St Leonards.
Following an emphatic first summer playing to sold-out venues across the town, the youthful quintet will be performing their last public show until October and the intimacy of the Bo Peep is sure to add the occasion.
Frontman Alex Rumble said: “The response to our shows so far has been absolutely overwhelming.
“We’re only a covers band, but we’re perfectionists who treat it with the highest regard. It’s really paying off, and by only playing Hastings once a month we maintain that exclusivity that sets us apart from our peers.”
The band can usually be seen at their renowned residency at The Brass Monkey, but bucked the trend to perform in front of a heaving Black Market crowd on Pirate Day, and the numerical sequence isn’t lost on guitarist Paddy Brown who quipped; “We seem to play places beginning with ‘B’ all the time, so hopefully we can add the Beer Festival to that list soon enough! That’s the target.”
