Leading trio at Vinehall international classic series

The 27th Season of International Classical Concerts at the Chaplin Theatre, Vinehall School, continues on Saturday October 31 with a performance by the Gould Piano Trio.

The Gould is the leading British Trio since winning both the Premio Vittorio Gui in Florence and the inaugural Melbourne Chamber Music Competition.

The Trio has been successful recording works by Brahms, Dvorak and recently completed a major project to record live all Beethoven trios.

They will play three great works for piano trio by Mozart, Brahms and Mendelssohn.

Geoffrey Whitehead, the concert organiser, said: “The Mozart trio marks his first great composition in this genre and Brahms (who loved to destroy works with which he was not completely satisfied) declared his second trio to be his best work in ten years! Mendelssohn’s trio is stunning writing with a typical scherzo running wild for the third movement.” For further information about this and all the concerts at Vinehall please phone 01580 883092 or check on www.vinehallschool.com
