Handing over the reins and looking to future of festival

Tony Mansi founder member and Chair of trustees of Bexhill Festival of Music for ten years has handed over the role to Brian Beeston, a local amateur musician and recently retired Architect.

Tony has been “privileged” to steer this charity into the success that it has become, and retires in the knowledge that Bexhill Festival of Music is in a safe pair of hands and will continue to grow.

Brian is “delighted and honoured” to take over the role. He has been aware of the Bexhill Festival of Music since its inception, attending events over the years, as well as participating through events put on by the Wacky Band – a local community concert wind band – of which Brian is a joint founding member.

Brian is inviting expressions of interest for next year’s festival from musicians and local venues. The Bexhill Festival of Music Brochure 2017 will cover musical events in the calendar month of June in Bexhill. This year’s participants are currently being contacted to see if they wish to contribute again.

Hopefully, we will again be able to enjoy a wide-ranging festival with all manner of musical events – from individual performers to larger groups and orchestras, from talented amateurs to nationally renowned professionals, in all manner of local venues.

Without further ado, get planning your event and venue and contact Brian as soon as you can at [email protected] for your own space in next year’s brochure – advertising you and your venue free of charge - (10,000 copies were printed and distributed for this year’s festival). The final deadline for inclusion for all confirmed events will be Friday January 27.
