A new craze is sweeping across Hastings with three boys from Hillcrest School at the forefront of its rapidly expanding scene.
Instead of spending their free time playing on games consoles or hanging around street corners and getting into trouble, schoolfriends Lewis, Josh and Calum bound around Hastings - vaulting park benches, hurdling fences and bouncing of walls.

Together they are S.outh E.ast F.low and they are on a three man mission to bring Parkour to the streets of Hastings and St Leonads.

Founded by Frenchman David Belle, Parkour is a highly skilled and demanded sport with the aim of moving from one point to another as efficiently and quickly as possible.

Runners, or traceurs as they are known, vault over anything in their way, using different parts of their body and an array of techniques to overcome any obstacle.

We went to Hillcrest School to catch up with the boys.

i find it quite disheartening that i have been TEACHING parkour for almost 3 years in Hastings and Stleanoards as well as eastbourne and bexhill - i have also taught these 3 as well as lots of other small groups - i dont just teach them moves i prioritise teaching them the right attitudes and respect for the environment - if u want 'real' meaty parkour articale id fully suggest talking to me a veiwing examples of my work - why invest fully in a leaf then u could nurtute the plant it came from?

I am part of the Urban Shadows Parkour & Free Running group and I have been doing Parkour for just over a year now and I am good friends with 'theblackrabbitninja' and I totally agree with him. When I first got into Parkour he taught me alot and has helped me alot throughout my training and to hear that this smaller group has taken all the credit for the 'fore-front' for Parkour in Hastings without any mention to him is quite agrrevating to say the least.

It is good to see the Parkour discipline growing however you should respect and give credit to those who help and teach you.

Visit www.weareus.co.uk if you are interested in learning Parkour or Free Running and meeting new Traceurs and Free Runners.

Hi there. Im Andy, Aka - Noxsta and i head up Eastbournes Parkour squad 'the Urban Shadows'. Theblackrabbitninja (BRN) is one of our top members and im afraid that you need to get your facts straight before you label 3 youths which we actually introduced to Parkour and trained as the 'forefront of its rapidly expanding scene.' and 'on a three man mission to bring Parkour to the streets of Hastings and St Leonards.' As he mentions, the BRN has been the driving force behind Parkour in Hastings for a long time now, having trained and risen through the ranks with The Urban Shadows he then took part in a 9 week course actually teaching Parkour to studants at Hastings college late last year! I fear that you may have jumped on the band wagon a little too soon with this 1 and i strongly suggest talking to the BRN as soon as you can and reporting on the REAL situation of one of the worlds fastest growing sports that appears to be escaping your attention in your own back yard. You may also be interested to note that on the 15th July this year in Hastings The Urban Shadows along with the BRN will be representing Parkour as part of the 'Pulse' festival and not these 3. Good luck to them as every traceur is good for Parkour and they are skilled boys however. Thankyou. Noxsta

This is callum-silver from the video.

To start with, In what part of the interview did we say that we started parkour, also we found out the sport on our own, plus we taught ourselves, we never said that we acctually discovered it. Were just a small group of friends that started it and got seen by our teacher who happens to be a friend of Richard and to Dead Reckoning, the part you said that we take all the credit, is a load of BULL!!! I am very dissapointed with you two members of Urban Shadows, you lot were my idols since the bbc blast thing in the pavilion and now you just ruined that, i think personally that you two are just two jealous people because 3 ->younger<- people are getting interview and have got spotted for our HARD work. Also at the bbc blast at the pavillion, you was saying (not to me) that you want more people to get into it and get seen, but as soon as we do, you get eggy.
well done guys, you just lost a big fan
