SIDLEY are still looking for their first win of the season after suffering a nine-wicket defeat away to Ifield in Sussex Division Two.

The visitors were shot out for 122 off 50 overs with the wickets being shared between Daniel Groves (3-36), Sam Dorrington (2-18), Graeme Dean (2-7) and Raza Ali (2-35).

Several Sidley batsmen got starts but no-one went on to compile a big score. Opener Sam Steele top-scored with 25 and Wes Tate chipped in lower down the order with 19.

Ifield knocked off the runs for the loss of one wicket off 21 overs.

Crowhurst Park slipped from second to third in Sussex Division Three (East) after losing by 17 runs at home to Lewes Priory - the new occupants of the runners-up spot behind Crawley.

Priory were all out for 199 thanks to a fine knock of 83 from Richard Seager. Paul Brookes (4-67 off 20 overs), Ed Smissen (2-15) and Richard Coleman (2-37) were the most successful bowlers.

Park looked well well set for victory in reply but lost their last six wickets for just 22 runs. Opener Martin Barry (49) top-scored, while Imran Khan (5-41) and Adam Scott (5-44) did the damage with the ball as the home side were dismissed for 182.
