A team of ladies from Egerton Park Indoor Bowls Club is through to the final of a national competition.
The Bexhill club edged out Folkestone 76-74 in the semi-finals of the Yetton Plate yesterday (Thursday) and will now face Riverain IBC at Northampton Indoor Bowling Club on Sunday February 17 (2pm start).
Park previously knocked out Nailsea IBC 67-62, Atherley IBC 77-72, Worthing IBC 96-72, Horsham IBC 82-79 and Denton Island IBC 85-59 in an event where matches are made up of a quartet of fours games.
Riverain have been untroubled en route to the final. The Hitchin-based outfit saw off Durham IBC 100-56 in its last four clash yesterday having previously defeated Peterborough IBC 100-64, County Arts IBC 92-62, Handy Cross IBC 90-71, Hatfield IBC 88-57 and Luton IBC 109-54.
