Two high class Kenyan runners have entered the 2015 Hastings Half Marathon.

The athletes won the male and female races at the Surrey Half Marathon last weekend and will be aiming for a repeat performance in Hastings on Sunday March 22.

Sammy Nyokaye is a relatively new member of the Team Run-Fast stable which has produced several Hastings winners in recent years.

The 27-year-old is in red hot form having stormed to victory at the Surrey Half Marathon in Woking in a personal best time of 62:41.

Nyokaye’s compatriot, Mercyline Ondieki, 25, is another new member of the Run-Fast team. She won the women’s race at the Surrey Half Marathon in a time of 75:12.

Both athletes are in the UK for about three weeks and will also be racing in the North London Half Marathon this Sunday.
