Huge line-up for Race for Life
A MASSIVE 2,500 people have signed up for this year's Cancer Research UK Race for Life today.
The Hastings 5km run takes place at Alexandra Park on Sunday, June 15, from 11am and it is hoped those taking part will raise 182,000.
Carly Gibbs, the Hastings Race for Life organiser, said: "We are delighted that so many women have responded to our invitation to join us at Race for Life this year and we hope to have a real party atmosphere on the day.
"The Hastings event is always a fantastic experience, with local women coming together to make a positive difference to the lives of people touched by cancer.
"I hope everyone enjoys the day but I also hope they realise what a fantastic and vital contribution their fundraising will make to the work that our scientists, doctors and nurses are doing.
"Please also remember to bring a bag for our Donation Station! By simply clearing out your unwanted clothes, books, CDs or DVDs and bringing your donations along to Race for Life, you could easily add an extra 30 to whatever sponsorship you raise."
