Hastings blown away by Dartford
Hastings United are still searching for their first win of the season in the Ryman Premier after going down 3-1 at home to Dartford.
The U's could have few complaints about the outcome as the visitors dominated for long spells on the way to a comfortable and deserved victory at The Pilot Field.
Hastings made two changes to the team that lost 1-0 against Aveley in midweek with Josh Jirbandey and Matt Maclean starting in place of Scott Ramsay and Liam Upton.
Dartford - the early leaders in the league after notching two wins out of two - took the lead on 13 minutes when Elliott Bradbrook dashed between two statuesque Hastings players and played in Lee Burns who clipped a neat finish in off the far upright.
Lee Carey scuffed an opportunity to grab an equaliser before Ade Olorunda fired over from close range after good work involving Carey and Tim Olorunda.
The Darts doubled their lead just before half time through Rob Haworth whose diving header flashed past Greg Nessling in the home goal.
Burns was denied by a decent save before making the points safe eight minutes into the second half, applying the simplest of headers after Hastings had been caught out by a Ryan Hayes cross.
Hastings did have the satisfaction of scoring their first goal of the season, but Maclean's strike - a lob into an empty net from 40 yards after the Dartford goalkeeper had failed to kick clear - was only a consolation for a well beaten side.
