Hastings & Bexhill Rugby Club is gearing up for an early season top-of-the-table clash tomorrow (Saturday).
Kent One leaders H&B will host second-placed Cranbrook in a meeting of the division’s last two unbeaten teams. Kick-off at Ark William Parker Academy is 3pm.
H&B head coach Chris Brooks said: “From what I’ve seen and read, they’re probably the toughest opposition so far and you could argue they’re probably the toughest opposition in the league.
“They play quite a wide, expansive game as well and of the other teams in our league, they’re probably the most similar to us.
“It’s going to be a bit of a chessboard, probing for breaches and taking advantage of whatever breaches we can find.
“I’m confident of a good performance because we’re performing very consistently. I would say we’re quite capable of the win, but I think it will be a tight game. I don’t think we will have the same scoring margin we’ve had so far.”
