Hastings United will continue their pre-season friendlies with a local derby tonight (Tuesday).

Ryman League Division One South outfit United will entertain Eastbourne Borough, who play their football two divisions higher up the non-league pyramid in Conference South.

Having assembled a strong-looking squad during the close season, United have made an encouraging start to their warm-up games with a narrow 1-0 defeat against Whitehawk and 2-1 victory against Lewes.

United fell behind against Ryman Premier side Lewes on Saturday to a penalty from their former player Jack Dixon, but goals from Frankie Sawyer and Olalekan Bankole turned the match around.

Kick-off at The Pilot Field tonight is 7.45pm, and admission is £6 for adults and free for under-21s as United seek another morale-boosting display against their coastal rivals.

After tonight, United have a trio of away games against Sevenoaks Town on Saturday, Eastbourne Town next Tuesday and Ringmer on Thursday July 31 before wrapping up their friendlies with a home match against a Gillingham XI on Saturday August 2.
