Sidley United take on Bexhill United tonight (Tuesday) at Westfield’s Parish Field ground, in the Hastings Senior Cup semi-final.

The last four tie will see the winners take on Westfield on Saturday, after the Westies beat Little Common 3-0 at the beginning of March.

Sidley and Bexhill have contested the previous three finals; with Sidley winning the first two before Bexhill turned the tables last year. The Pirates won a thrilling contest 4-3, despite playing a large chunk of the match with 10 men.

Bexhill come into the match off the back of an excellent 2-1 victory away at promoted side Newhaven in Sussex County Football League Division Two on Saturday, whilst Sidley have limped to a finish in Division One - losing their last five games.

John Lambert’s side ended their league campaign with a 2-1 loss to Arundel on Saturday, with Brad Lewis scoring a 94th minute winner for the hosts.

Nick Grant - Bexhill’s reserve team manager - is expected to take back over in the dugout tonight, following his absence on Saturday due to his second team duties.
