Hastings United have bolstered a squad which has made a perfect start to the season by signing a creative midfielder.

The U’s have brought in Thomas O’Connor on a dual registration basis with Bromley and he will go straight into the squad for the visit of Redhill tomorrow (Saturday). Kick-off at The Pilot Field is 3pm.

United have won their opening two Ryman Football League Division One South matches without conceding a goal under caretaker managers Mark Stapley and Terry White, and will be hoping to make it three out of three tomorrow.

But Redhill have also started well since their promotion from the Sussex County League in the summer. The Lobsters have picked up four points from a possible six, three of them coming in a 2-0 victory away to Eastbourne Town on Wednesday night.

Elsewhere tomorrow, Rye United travel to fellow Sussex Division One side Arundel in the FA Cup extra preliminary round. Bexhill United are also in cup action with a John O’Hara League Challenge Cup first round tie away to Storrington.

Little Common will take on Rustington in their opening Sussex Division Two home fixture eager to make up for their last gasp 5-4 loss to Oakwood last weekend, while Westfield will go to Broadbridge Heath in the same division desperate to improve on their 3-3 draw at home to Wick & Barnham United. All matches kick-off at 3pm.
