Hastings United pulled off a splendid victory away to higher grade opposition tonight (Tuesday).

The Ryman Football League Division One South leaders won 3-0 against top half Premier Division side Margate in round three of the league’s Robert Dyas Cup, with all the goals coming in the last half-hour.

Playing their first away cup match of the season after no less than seven ties at The Pilot Field in the various competitions, United drew first blood in the 64th minute through Bailo Camara.

The same player doubled United’s advantage 10 minutes later and Kenny Pogue applied the coup de grace in the 80th minute, setting up a trip to Premier Division high-flyers Maidstone United in the last 16.
