Jason Hopkinson was full of praise for Tim Olorunda who turned in a battling display against Billericay Town despite the furore surrounding his brother on his recent return to The Pilot Field.
It was claimed that Ade Olorunda was the victim of racial abuse during the visit of Tonbridge Angels last month. The striker also suffered a serious facial injury following an accidental collision with Hastings captain Sean Ray which resulted in him spending the next 20 hours in hospital.
“Tim’s had a difficult week with everything that’s gone on with his brother,” said Hastings manager Hopkinson. “We had a chat beforehand and he’s been absolutely fantastic for me since I’ve been here. He put in a performance today and it was a big blow when he came off.”
