Vitor Pestana has left Bexhill United Football Club to join higher grade Peacehaven & Telscombe.

The skilful Portuguese wide player has produced some impressive displays since joining Bexhill in November.

Bexhill manager Marc Munday said: “He’s had a couple of trial matches (with Peacehaven) over the last couple of weeks and they’ve signed him. He’s a talented player and we wish him well.

“It’s another loss for us because he’s a player that can make something out of nothing, but we want players to progress in their football and Ryman South is a very good standard.”

After last weekend’s game at home to Seaford Town was rained-off, Bexhill are due to make the long trip to Selsey in Macron Store Southern Combination League Division One tomorrow (Saturday). Anthony Cooper is injured, while Jacob Shelton and Craig Ottley are away.
