HASTINGS United captain Lee Carey is one of five players nominated in the latest FA Cup Player of the Round poll.

The midfielder impressed as Hastings booked their place in the first round proper of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win at home to Blackfield & Langley.

The FA website reports: “Lee played a captain’s role as Hastings finally reached the first round again with a 3-0 win against Blackfield. Two of his corners led to goals for the Isthmian Premier side.”

Also in the running is Ryan Bowman (Hereford United), Andre Gray (Luton Town), Danny Hurst (Barrow) and Jake Speight (Mansfield Town).

Anyone wanting to cast their vote should visit TheFA.com before the closing date at midday next Monday.

The player who tops the poll will receive a commemorative Budweiser Player of the Round trophy and he will also be invited to the FA Cup final at Wembley next May as a guest of the FA and Budweiser.
