Albion’s former Argentinian prospect Agustín Battipiedi has signed for the Seagulls’ East Sussex neighbours Eastbourne Borough.
The 22-year-old arrived on the south coast from Argentine Third Division side Comunicaciones in 2010 but failed to make much of an impact as Gustavo Poyet’s charges ran away with the League One title.
The neat midfielder returned to South America but came back to Sussex to try his luck further down the football pyramid.
He had a recent trial at League One side Leyton Orient but was not offered a deal and has now joined fellow former Seagull Gary Hart at Priory Lane.
Elsewhere, another ex-Albion player is making a name for himself north of the border at St Johnstone having previously netted 11 times in 38 games during a two-year spell at Dundee United.
Fransico Sandaza took his tally to six goals already this term with an important strike during his side’s 2v1 win at Kilmarnock.
