Boss questions Bexhill commitment
Bexhill United manager Gerard Moyse has questioned the commitment of some of his players.
United's first seven Sussex County Football League Division Two fixtures have been punctuated by absentees and Moyse has yet to field the same team twice.
He said: "Sometimes the commitment side of it is horrendous. At the end of the day you play football to enjoy it, but you can't enjoy it if you're not committing yourself because you're not doing as well as you should be.
"I think we've got a good enough squad to do alright this year, but at the moment we're not playing to our potential. I think we're under-achieving more than anything."
United are 14th in the Sussex County Football League Division Two table having lost four of their last six games, although it is worth pointing out that they've played six of the top eight sides.
Now comes a run of, on paper at least, slightly easier fixtures, starting with a trip to 13th-placed Midhurst & Easebourne tomorrow (Saturday). That will be followed by games against the bottom two, Clymping and Oakwood.
"They're massive for us because if we lose those three we're in trouble," continued Moyse."
Kingsley and Warren Parsons should return, and Ross Markham may feature for the first time this season. Moyse is hoping to get Steve Johnson back and that Marc Munday will be fit, but he has had no contact with Terry Payne.
