HASTINGS United are still searching for their first points of the Ryman Premier season after sinking to a 2-0 defeat at Boreham Wood.
Kick-off was put back by 45 minutes after the Hastings team coach suffered a burst tyre on the M25.
When the match did finally get under way Boreham Wood secured victory thanks to a goal in each half.
The hosts took the lead on 24 minutes through Greg Morgan's 20-yard finish over Chris May and they made the points safe courtesy of Eugene Ofori's scrambled effort six minutes from time.
Hastings opened their campaign the previous Saturday with a 2-1 defeat at home to Ashford Town (Middlesex).
Next up for John Lambert's young side is a trip to Dartford on Saturday followed by a Bank Holiday Monday clash at home to Maidstone United.
Elsewhere, Little Common were held to a 2-2 draw in their Sussex County League Division Three opener at Newhaven despite being two-up inside six minutes through Lewis Hole and Alex Humphrey.
