Entry forms have now been launched for the eagerly-awaited 25th running of the Hastings Half Marathon next spring.
There will be a limit of 5,000 for the Sunday March 15 race, which is likely to be overbooked as runners come from all over the world to celebrate its 25th birthday.

Event organisers, the Hastings Lions Club, would like to see as many of the orig
inal competitors from 1985 - when there were 1,600 entrants - taking part again.

There are 22 runners who have taken part in all 24 so far, including two ladies, and they are highly likely to be going for their own 25th!

The beauty of the Hastings Half Marathon is that it is for allcomers, from top internationals down to the fun and charity runners, and all ages from 17 upwards.

Over the years, the number of females taking part has grown from 10 per cent of the field to now more than 40 per cent of the entry.

Entry forms are available from most sports shops and centres, Observer offices, Hastings Information Centre, Scorpios and Scollays.

It is also possible to enter online by going to www.hastings-half.co.uk and downloading an entry form. Nearly 90 per cent of entries are now received via 'online' bookings. Enquiries can be made via email to racedirector@hastings-half.co.uk
