Hastings United will be well supported on Teesside

Hastings United will be cheered on by around 1,000 supporters on Saturday.

As of 3.30pm today (Thursday), the club had sold around 950 tickets for the FA Cup third round tie away to Middlesbrough.

Tickets will still be available at The Pilot Field tomorrow from 9.30am-1pm and 2.30-5.30pm. Prices are £10 for adults, £7 concessions and £5 under-16s.

Speaking at the press conference on Wednesday evening, Walters said: “When you think most Championship clubs don’t take anything like that (number of fans) to Middlesbrough, it’s quite an achievement really.”

Eight supporters’ coaches have been booked for the approximately 310-mile trip to Teesside, while fans are also making their way by car, train and even air.

United, who will wear their change strip of blue-white-blue, have earned the Ryman Premier’s Macron Performance of the Month Award for the third time in four months. They scooped the December honour for their second round replay win over Harrogate Town.
