Here is an update of crimes reported in the Rye area at the weekend and this week
A UNICYCLE was stolen from a workshop at New Road, Rye, over the weekend.
Also taken was a hard hat and drill bits.
The theft took place between 4pm on Friday and 9am on Monday.

A MAN was spotted running off after attempting to break into a w
arehouse at Rock Channel, Rye, at 7.15pm on Sunday.
He was disturbed when the alarm went off and is described as white, between 20 and 25 years, 5ft 10, slim build, light brown hair, glasses, wearing a white t-shirt and light grey combat trousers.
A REAR window of Rye Community Centre was smashed overnight on Saturday.

THIEVES gave been targeting Rye properties for stealing lead.
An attempt was made to steal lead from the porch of a house in East Street on Monday.
Thieves had earlier succeeded in stealing lead from the roof of a house in East Street.

A BLUE Proton car parked at Old Lydd Road, Camber, had its spoiler stolen.
The theft took place some time between 4pm on Sunday and 10.30am on Monday.

A GREY Toyota Corolla was broken into, on Rye Harbour Road, and the handbag that was left inside stolen.
The theft took place between 2pm and 3.25pm on Monday.

THREE bean poles were stolenm from a garden at Higham Gardens, Guestling at the weekend.

ANTIQUES and a television were stolen following a break-in at a house at Pett Road, Pett, between 7.30pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday.

A YOUTH was disturbed while trying to break into a private garage at Rye's Tillingham Avenue on Saturday morning.
He is described as white, 18 years old, light/medium build, short fair hair, 5ft 10, wearing glasses, pale trousers and a grey top.

A VW Golf parked at Pett Level was broken into and a handbag stolen on Sunday.
The theft took place between 5:30pm and 9:40pm.
