Rye Goes Rock is the big annual fund raiser for the ARRCC charity and a showcase for local talent.

It takes place from 2pm - midnight at Rye's Thomas Peacocke College when BBC weather girl Kaddy Lee-Preston will introduce a host of bands and artists.

ARRCC (Activities, Respite, Rehabilitation Care Centre) is a local service and charity for people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments in Rye.

This will be the event's fourth year.

Fiona Bishop, from ARRCC, said: "Spend a glorious afternoon and summer evening with a music backdrop and welcoming atmosphere to match.

"We are privileged again to present a collection of locally and internationally renowned musicians.

"We are pleased to welcome back special guest, TV Presenter Kaddy Lee-Preston.

"Kaddy will be joining us around 4pm to enjoy the music with festival-goers and then helping to compere the evenings entertainment alongside DJ's from local radio station Hastings Rock."

Open-air performances start at 2pm with local band Not Guilty.

This is followed,m at 3pm, by Saffron Summerfield, a combined musician, singer and composer who will be performing with Miriam Backhouse.
She is known for performing folk and traditional music.

At 4pm young local band Feedback perform, followed by Hellcatz at 4.45pm.

The evening begins inside at 6pm with a spectacular opening from The Logan Wilson Band.

Local heroes Pass the Cat follows at 7.15pm with well-known musicians Steve Riv, Nana Tsiboe, Liam Genockey, Richard Blasco and Colin Gibson.
The Turpin-Hubbard Band are on stage at 8.30pm with accomplished blues performers Louis Turpin and Roger Hubbard.

Double BBC Jazz Award winner Lianne Carroll performs at 9.45pm.
The finale arrives at 11pm with a not to be missed performance of Delta Blues from Buick 6.

Fiona Bishop said: "Browse the craft stalls during the day and entertain the kids on the bouncy castle, face painting and an exciting Falconry Display with an opportunity to have your photos taken with the birds of prey.

"There is hot and cold food, including burgers, vegetarian and speciality foods including samosas, and ice cream.

"We have a licensed bar with a selection of real ales, lager, wine, soft drinks and refreshing smoothies."

Tickets in advance: Adults- £8, Child (12-18yrs) - £4, Family (2+2) - £20.
On the door: Adults- £9, Child - £5, Family- £25. (Children 11yrs and under go free).
