Playden W.I. held an exhibition to celebrate its 90th birthday at the weekend.
Helping to open the exhibition, at the W.I. Hall, was Rye Town Crier Rex Swain, whose mother was a member of Playden W.I.

There were photographs and documents charting the history of the group, including the original minutes of the inaugural meeting.

There were photos of W.I. outings over the years.

President Amy Breeds said: "We had a lot of interest and several district councillors came along.

"We also had members who had moved away from the area coming back.
"Because we have our own hall it means we are able to store all these pictures and records."

The group will be holding another birthday celebration event on Saturday June 14 when Rye MP Michael Foster opens a garden party at 11 High Street.
