DOG racing will be taking place at William Parker Sports College on Thursday.
But the greyhounds won't be wrecking the prize sports pitch - they will be on the big screen as part of the PTA's Race Night.
The family event is being held in the Phoenix Arts Centre at the Parkstone Road college to raise money for their minibus appeal.
It will be time to place your bets from 7.30pm onwards, with Tote tickets costing 50p each.
Fish and chips will be on sale and there will also be a bar and raffle.
Entry costs £3 for adults and £2 children.
Local businesses supporting the event include the Observer, The Brickwall Hotel, Conveyancing Direct, Kirk International, Tivoli Auto Services, Ridge West Garage, Victoria Tyre Centre, Austin Reynolds, Integrated Security Solutions, Wisdens, and Hastings lottery winner Mick Maplesden.
