Blessing of the Sea

THE annual Blessing of the Sea took place at Hastings Lifeboat Station on Wednesday evening.
With the reverend David Wotton presiding from the back of the Sealink Endeavour, hymns were sung and prayers given for the all the seamen and lifeboat crews who work at sea.

The Salvation Army band played at the event, which was attended by up to 70 people.

Amongst those in attendance were Hastings mayor Cllr Maureen Charlesworth, Cllr Richard Stevens, Rosemary Foster, the wife of Hastings MP Michael Foster, the lifeboat crew and officials from the Hastings lifeboat station.
