"MADRID or bust" - that's the message from two local friends who are driving an old banger to Madrid to raise money for a children's charity.
Building surveyor Carl Farrow, 45, and toy designer Jon Nurse, 44, will be one of several teams taking part in the Martha Trust fund-raising event.

Cash raised will be used to provide facilities for profoundly disabled young people at the charity's home on The Ridge.

The rules are that fundraisers have to complete the journey in three days, starting on May 2, and use a car which cost them less than £100!

Carl and Jon have treated themselves to a 1991 Honda Civic which they bought for £95 to take part in the challenge.

They are in the process of giving it a make-over ready for the trip.

In a bid to boost their sponsorship they will be parked up at Queens Square in the town centre on Easter Saturday, April 11, when people will be able to sign the bonnet for £1.

The intrepid duo will be dressed as Mr Incredible and Buzz Light-year wearing outfits made for them by The Disney Store.
