You’ll never get a second chance

IF we don’t vote yes to voting reform on 5 May we shall never be given a second chance.

It’s not a question of whether the Alternative Vote is the very best system. It’s a question of seizing the opportunity to vote for reform.

The political circumstances which led to the referendum are unlikely to be repeated. A no vote means the existing unfair system will be set in stone for our lifetimes.

A yes vote will keep the debate about reform alive. Anyone who has attended a dismal Hastings Borough Council debate would want to see the voters’ wishes more fairly represented - the voting system for local councils needs reform as much as that at Westminster.

Please don’t be distracted by marginal technical issues or the usual mud-slinging.

This is our one and only chance to vote for change to the present unfair and outdated system.
