Thanks to those behind concert

I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making the The '˜Nearly on the' Beach Concert such an amazing success again despite the pouring rain on the Saturday.

I would especially like to thank everyone who gave up their time for free including the organising committee, bands, stewards and collectors (in fact everyone) without whose time and effort this charity fundraising event could not happen.

I would also like to thank all our sponsors including our main supporter this year St Leonards Motors – Nissan along with The Filo, Hannington & Gilbert, Judges Bakery, Alfa Electric Ltd, Trade Paints, Priory Meadow, L & G Optical, Picture Maps, Mike Raxworthy Music, Karma Security, Skinners Sheds, Trade Paints and to all the others who generously donated cash, supplies or their services for free or at cost as without their kind support it would not have been possible to put on a two day event on this scale.

My final thanks is to everyone who gave so generously to our collectors over the weekend and I am delighted to say that despite the very wet start the collection this year is once again the best ever at the concert and we still have to finalise the accounts for the bar, BBQ, ice cream and merchandise to add to the total raised.

We will be announcing full details of the donations to Hastings RNLI, Pett Level Inshore Rescue Boat and Hastings Sea Cadets once this is done.
