ONCE again we would be grateful if you could publish our thanks to the local people of Hastings and St Leonards who so generously supported our 2013 Tree of Light Appeal.
Our total this year was more than £2,000, given by local people donating a minimum of £5 each to buy a light in loving memory of a departed friend or relative, on our Christmas tree in the Priory Meadow Shopping Centre.
The money raised will be split between local people in need, St Michael’s Hospice and other charities supporting people in Hastings and St Leonards at Christmas.
We would also like to acknowledge, publicly, our thanks to those who give us free assistance, including the Halifax and the Priory Meadow Shopping Centre, and especially to Mr Winchester, of Blackbrooks Garden Centre for supplying the tree.
Thank you also for your part in supporting and publicising our appeal, without which, we would find it very difficult to raise public awareness.
