CHARITY for Kids would like to thank the very generous customers of Sainsbury’s over the weekend of Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17.
With Charity for Kids being the Charity Partner for Sainsbury’s for 2013 it means that for two days per month we are allowed to collect in the entrance foyer.
Each time the charity is present it tries to encourage new ways for the customers to interact with the charity.
In recent months Charity for Kids and Sainsbury’s have held tombolas.
This time there were two very special visitors to the store in Mr and Mrs Mouse, the two recognisable characters who were very kindly supplied by www.mascothire.net who provide children’s mascots for parties and so on.
Charity for Kids also announced its new fundraising challenge for 2014. A group of 36 people have come together to form a team to cycle to four of the five twin towns of Hastings.
Some of the cyclists present were cycling for three hours on a turbo trainer covering nearly 60 miles in their three-hour time slot at Sainsbury’s.
Charity for Kids is currently looking in to opening a much-needed respite centre in the town. More news to follow in due course.
We would once again like to thank Sainsbury’s customers for their kind donations along with the cyclists for giving up their time.
