Stranded pair helped

MAY I through your newspaper thank John and Hilary who so kindly gave my wife and I a lift from Battle railway station to Tunbridge Wells last Tuesday when out of the blue Southeastern had to cancel the London-bound train because of a cracked line just outside of Battle, virtually cutting off Hastings for a short time.

I had a hospital appointment in London and thanks to their help I arrived with five minutes to spare.

I hope that Hilary got to her destination safely and with no further hiccups. They certainly were good Samaritans that day, thank you both once again.
