Relief to find stick handed in

I wish to thank the kind person who handed my registered blind husband's long white stick, to customer services at Hastings Tesco

Extra, on Wednesday afternoon, February 1.

My husband and I had visited the supermarket and I left his folded stick in the shopping trolly after loading the shopping into the car boot when we left the carpark at 1.30pm.

When we arrived home and I found the stick missing I rang the store and was told that it had not been handed in. I was told to phone back after two hours.

When I phoned again at 4pm and it still hadn’t been handed in. In desperation I decided to return back to the store to investigate it for myself.

When I arrived at customer services I could see the stick lying on a shelf under a counter behind the customer service reception desk.

As it had been lost at lunch time I can only assume that the person finding it probably put their shopping bags in the trolly and perhaps then went for lunch at the restaurant and only found the stick after loading their shopping in their car boot two-and-a-half hours later, hence the delay in handing the stick into customer service.

What a relief! Thank you!
