Permanent fix is what’s needed

I NOTED Kevin Boorman’s response to my letter regarding the car park at Rock-a-Nore, may I once again point out that the potholes are not a recent occurrence but something that has been a point of concern from visitors over a number of years.

Much work was carried out to the infrastructure of the area when the Jerwood Gallery was being built and this car park should have been upgraded at this time. A temporary fix for the coming summer season is surely a waste of our council tax. I was always taught that if you do a job do it properly the first time.

I note that Mr Boorman has traced his family back over 200 years, I too have family connections with Hastings dating back over four centuries that is why I will always stand up be counted when something is badly wrong within the town.
