OVER the last few weeks I have nearly been run over by cyclists and motorised carts using the pavements around town.
It is something that needs to be addressed before someone suffers a serious injury. These motorised buggies that seem to be all the vogue with the elderly should not be allowed to be used until the person driving passes some form of test.
Those driving are often travelling at a speed which is much to fast and they seem to be totally unaware of the many pedestrians around them.
As for cyclists, well they come up behind you and before you know it they are demanding the right to pass. It is actually an offence to ride on pavements. Is this not something that our police community support officers should be able to deal with?
