Other trusts use cash differently

I was pleased to read in the Observer that our heath trust, although deeply in debit, is going to replace the main entrances to both Hastings and Eastbourne hospitals.

They say that although there is nothing structurally wrong with the existing entrances, this work will make it ‘a more pleasant start to the journey though the hospitals’.

This is, of course, if you are not one of the silly people who use the many other entrances.

I thought how lucky we are to live in this area, while other health trusts may have wasted the money on patient care.

The chief executive, in the same article, says that they have gone though ’a significantly challenging period’. It is good that they have found a way to over come this.

So please do not complain if you have to wait a little longer for your appointment, just think of the excitement of starting your ‘journey’ though a new entrance. I for one can not wait.
