Nothing was too much trouble

Through the Hastings Observer, I would like to publicly thank Mr Sheikh-Abid Gulzar for the kindness and generosity he has shown to the Hastings Pensioners Association.

Recently, Mr Gulzar organised a charity BBQ at one of his hotels, the Boship at Hailsham, and kindly invited a group from our association to attend.

When we arrived, he was there to greet us personally, despite the fact there were at least 200 other guests in the grounds of the Boship for the BBQ.

Nothing was too much for him. He came and sat with us at one stage, while we were treated to some BBQ, the food and drink was just lovely.

We read and hear so many depressing stories every week – this is a good news letter.

I thought the world of Mr G that day, he really made an impression on all of us.

He is organising another BBQ on Saturday, September 26, to mark his 70th birthday – I know for a fact that we will be there again.

Thank you, Mr Gulzar and team.
