Have your say

I WOULD like to thank everyone for their support for William Parker Sports College and Hollington Gymnastics Club on the Big Lottery Jubilee People’s Millions on ITV1 with our Hastings Rebound Zone project.

I am delighted to announce that we won the regional vote, with the highest number of votes in the Meridian East region, and the seventh highest nationally out of 90 project finalists. We achieved a staggering 8,932 votes, winning by more than 6,000 from our competitors.

This was only possible with the publicity and support that we received from all of our community partners, including Asda, Sainsburys, Priory Meadow, Town Centre management, the Observer, and its readers.

We raised £28,967 which will provide us with the equipment we need to create a safe environment for people to learn skills of parkour (free running), and to develop gymnastics in the local area.

The facility will be open to the public, as well as for use of the college and we hope to encourage more people to participate in gymnastics and be the best that they can be.

We could not have achieved this without you all and your votes, and once again can I express my sincere thanks to you for all of your help and support.
