In February, the Observer very kindly published a letter from Jenny and myself trying to locate pupils who started at Hastings Secondary School for Girls in 1967-68 and who will be 60 this year.
We have had a lovely response from people who were in the same school year as us and from some who were in the year below.
The consensus from everyone was that it would be lovely to meet up and have a natter.
The Royal Victoria Hotel on Hastings seafront have generously agreed to let us use one of their rooms over looking the sea on Saturday, May 7, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
There is a bar in the room where tea/coffee, sandwiches, cakes or alcoholic drinks can be purchased.
If you would like to come along and meet up with old school friends, please could you ring either Jenny on 01424 429167 or me on 01424 436056 before May 7, so we can provide the Royal Victoria with the number of people anticipated to come on the 7th.
Please could you bring along with you any old school photos of your time at Hastings Secondary School or any other school memorabilia you may have.
I have spoken to one or two people who have lost their school photos and would dearly love to have a copy of any you may be able to bring, if possible.
Jenny and I look forward to seeing you on May 7.
(soon to be 60!)
