Let's brighten up Warrior Square

Just a little idea. Warrior Square is the world famous centrepiece of St Leonards, attracting thousands of visitors and giving its name to the nearby train station.

Recently the gardens have been much beautified by the addition of flower beds and elevated flower-filled basins in the front area facing the sea.

It is a pity, therefore, that the extensive central area, lying between the front and the lovely upper rose gardens, is at present comparatively drab and uninteresting, lacking colour and flower beds.

The council lavishes a fortune on the borough’s parks and gardens and the superb floral displays along the sea front. Every penny is well spent. What about brightening up the central area of the gardens at Warrior Square? The result would be truly stunning.
