Good news for buses

What great news for the campaign to save our buses.

As has been printed over the last few weeks, thousands of people and businesses rely on these bus routes and the news that some services will be saved is very welcome indeed.

Bus users are often overlooked by the media in favour of commuters using trains so I would also like to congratulate the Hastings Observer and Rye Observer for their fantastic coverage of the campaign.

I know that many people, like myself, have signed petitions and postcards, so it is good news that Stagecoach have heard our calls. I think it is also important to recognise that although this has been a true community campaign, there has been one person who has led and worked tirelessly across party politics to get the town this small victory and that is, Sarah Owen, the prospective Labour candidate.

There are clearly still some routes that still need saving, so there can be no rest for the campaign or the media coverage.

Good work and keep it up.
